My work explores the trajectory of mark marking, questioning the power dynamic of the female nude. Vis a vie who holds control, subject or voyeur. This work expands beyond vision, comprehending sound relating to the body. Vision condenses as sound prevails. Chaos features relatively within my work to not be contained. The use of materials like charcoal and marker create a dark outcome, almost condemning the viewer to a sullen state. This emphatic method of creating a dark space in which to view, draws the audience into each other. Creating more of an experience. The performances in which I draw the nude are to be watched by small amounts of people at one time, illuminating the discomfort of the situation. Confronting your own bias about my work, while having to have an intimate interval with the artist themselves.
