I, Ed Lewis, have the firm belief that the most overlooked aspects of life include (but aren’t limited to) cardboard farm animals, botched taxidermy, comb-overs and people with biscuits for faces, are the issues that need to be dealt with. I, Ed Lewis, believe in the power of materials such as cardboard, rusted metal, faux suede and old Hawaiian shirts, I feel that these mediums are successful and appropriate in illustrating the ideas that inform my work as well as complimenting it’s unique attitude. I make my decisions based on my uncontrollable instinct and impulse to make… these things… and to make people aware that they exist”.
