My work is reflective of everyday objects that we encounter. The artworks are larger than life and resemble packaging that we see shopping and in our homes. By creating mundane objects on a large scale this exposes the familiarity of the objects as we often ignore every-day objects. Colourings of the objects are exaggerated to encourage audiences to remember their last encounter with that specific object, the forms are magnified to project the visual aspects of the packaging. The series of artworks reflect experiences where an object has stood out, the objects in painting are references to items that I have had a visual connection with. The process of painting and drawing is impulsive and expressive which causes the objects to be abstracted yet identifiable.
