You’re just a tease, you know you’re pretty, you ask for it.” Over a third (36%) of women who have faced extensive physical and sexual violence in both childhood and adulthood have attempted suicide, and a fifth (22%) have self-harmed.

A series of plastic crates, balanced on large wooden boxes contain explosions of vibrant dried flowers, portraying the paradox of both the strength and fragility of women. Influenced by the concepts of Tracey Emin and the sculptures of Mike Kelly; the work performs personal relationships and perceptions of women in mental health.
