My work explores the connection between humans and a dystopian future. I convey relationships between technology, the human psyche and dreams. I approach the subject of portraiture in a post-human manner, painting with specific colour palettes to portray a particular atmosphere. Through the personal subject of the portrait and my own imagined ideas of surroundings, I can create imagined futuristic and apocalyptic worlds of which place humans in a post-human light, thinking about the power of humans and different ways they can be depicted through portraiture.
