My art practice examines gendered historical narratives and how they fit into an ecologically gripped contemporary society. I aim to explore the intersectionality of gender and nature in both the way they are oppressed by man and how they are treated as a commodity in today’s consumer capitalism. In doing this, my work scrutinizes the culture/nature and man/non-man dualities in order to enlighten and empower the audience, coupled with the immersive qualities of film, installations and sound. My practice draws from personal experiences that drive the desire to illuminate mine and other’s troubles with oppression that are still, to this day, prevalent and present in everyone’s lives.
