I capture and edit footage to make films. On occasion, I create soundtracks which are largely experimental in nature. I like to create environments for people to experience my films using 5.1 surround sound, light, and on occasion, sculpture. The aim of these environments is to induce specific feelings. The footage primarily focuses on movement in nature, from water, trees and the sky to birds. I do not interrupt what I film. I capture my footage digitally. When working with sound, I mix my own made sounds with found sounds, pure hertz frequencies and planetary sounds from Nasa’s website to create binaural beats and soundscapes of the unfamiliar. I fabricate sculptures with the emphasis of locating emotional discomfort, usually from around my chest and lung area, and purging it through the making process. This helps me to analyse my sadness and anxiety in a therapeutic process.
