Inspired by Japanese artists such as Hayao Miyazaki and Takashi Murakami, my series of illustrations mainly focus on the expression of personal feelings, exploring ways to visualize emotions, and gathering viewers to share their emotions with me. The omitting of facial expression from the character allows audiences to fill in their own expressions toward the drawings and in turn, become part of the drawing. During the production of the drawings and research, projects are often made in a range of media, grouped around specific themes and meanings. The interactive element of the pieces allows viewers to be a part of the artwork, and their interactions inspired new ideas and concepts for my next artistic creation.
