JSPS would like to inform you of their second call for applications for the JSPS London Postdoctoral Fellowship (Short-Term Award) for fiscal year 2012.
JSPS is the leading research funding agency in Japan, established by the Japanese Government for the purpose of contributing to the advancement of science. JSPS London plays a key role in the administration of various scientific and academic programmes, whilst expanding bilateral exchange between Japan and the UK.
The JSPS London Postdoctoral Fellowship (Short Term Award) provides the opportunity for pre and postdoctoral UK Researchers and European and North American researchers based in the UK to conduct collaborative research activities with leading research groups at Japanese Universities and Institutions for visits of 1 to 12 months.
Eligible applicants need to be within 2 years of being conferred with their PhD at the time of applying to go to Japan or have obtained their PhD after 2nd April 2006. Eligible research fields are not limited: computer, engineering, health, biological, life, natural and physical sciences, mathematics, humanities and social sciences etc.
Applications are to be sent to JSPS London by 17:30 Friday 1 June, 2012
Successful applicants are asked to start their fellowship between 1 November 2012 to 31 March 2013.
