Become an assistant Beaver Leader
1st Shinfield (St Marys) Beaver Scouts are seeking two Assistant Beaver Leaders, male or female to support the Beaver Leader in planning and supervising activities for children aged 6-8. You would be assisting with creative activities, camping know-how, cooking and games. Meetings take place on Monday evenings at The Scout Hut, 33 Hyde End Road, Shinfield, RG2 9EP and you must be available for all. There would also be additional time for leader planning once or twice a term and occasional weekend events e.g. 23rd April St. George’s Day Parade. This opportunity would suit someone who enjoys variety and change, likes team work, has a good sense of humour and is sociable and patient. The Scout Association provides free training with various options for session attendance and some online modules. Support is given and any outgoings in relation to activities and events will be refunded. The group will also contribute towards uniform costs. Please expect to provide references, a CRB Check, and interview.
