This year’s Fair boasts over 90 employers from across different sectors, which means you need to have a good plan before you attend. You’ve got 4 hours to meet and talk to employers and get noticed. Have a look at the companies attending, use the app to star those you’re interested in, update your CV/ LinkedIn profile. What else?
Here are our top tips:
- Make a plan of what you want to achieve and which employers you want to speak to and what questions you want to ask
- Make a good impression by dressing well, shaking hands and demonstrating you know what the organisation does and what you have to offer
- Avoid the busiest of times. It is always better to approach an employer’s stand when there are fewer interested people about. Early and late are often better than the central time of the event.
- Collect business cards and contact details so you can follow up with a thank you and or a LinkedIn invitation
