Claire Murray, research student with Professors Christine Cardin and Howard Colquhoun, passed her PhD viva today (Tues. 29th). She is now working as a Beamline Support Scientist at the Diamond Synchrotron at Harwell. Congratulations Claire!

On the 28th October, the Chemistry Department Research Colloquium will be given by Dr Ricardo Grau-Crespo, University of Reading.

His talk  entitled “Computational adventures with site-disordered solids” will take place at 16:00 pm in Chemistry LTG , preceded by refreshments in the Chemistry Foyer at 15.40 pm.

On the 24th October, the Chemistry Department Research Colloquium will be given by Professor Wolfgang Kaim, University of Stuttgart.

His talk is entitled Chemistry of noninnocent ligands: More than electron transfer?” and will take place at 15:30 pm in Chemistry G50 ,preceded by refreshments in the Chemistry Foyer at 15.00 pm.

On the 21st October, the Chemistry Department Research Colloquium will be given by Professor Edman Tsang, Oxford University.

His talk is entitled “Catalysis at Materials Interface” and will take place at 16:00 pm in Chemistry LTG ,preceded by refreshments in the Chemistry Foyer at 15.40 pm.

On the 14th October, the Chemistry Department Research Colloquium will be given by Professor Jon Steed, University of Durham.

His talk is entitled “Supramolecular Gels: Orthogonal Self-Assembly far from Equilibrium” and will take place at 16:00 pm in Chemistry LTG ,preceded by refreshments in the Chemistry Foyer at 15.30 pm.
