Chemistry Research Colloquium – Dr Santanu Mukherjee of the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore & Dr Ravi P. Singh, Indian Institute of Technology-Delhi

On the 15th September two shorter Research Seminars will be given by Dr Santanu Mukherjee of the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, “Catalytic Enantioselective Halocyclizations: Emerging Route to Enantioenriched Heterocycles” & Dr Ravi P. Singh, Indian Institute of Technology-Delhi, “Catalytic Vinylogous Reactions: A Powerful Tool for Creating Functionalized Framework”

These will take place at 16:00 pm in Chemistry LTG, lasting about 25 minutes each, and will be preceded by refreshments in the Chemistry foyer at 3.40pm.

MSc student Oliver Hale awarded the Paul Beswick Mermorial Prize

 

Oliver HaleOliver Hale has been awarded the Paul Beswick Memorial Prize for 2014.

Congratulations to Oli Hale (MSc Chemical Research 2012-13) who was recently awarded the Paul Beswick Prize.

Paul Beswick was an MSc student in the department in the late 1980s before being tragically killed in a motorcycle accident. His family set up the prize in Paul’s name to be awarded annually to “the most deserving MSc student”.
