Come and take a look at some of the photographic highlights of Green Week 2012.

Green Week got off to a flying start at the opening event yesterday with the Vice Chancellor Sir David Bell and the Students Union President James Fletcher went head to head in an epic Battle of the Bins. Both competitors did a valiant job of recycling as much waste as they could against the clock and lost points per item that was incorrectly separated.  But it was the VC that stormed ahead to finish first, correctly segregating the recycling and was therefore awarded the much sought after Golden Bin.

Many more events are happening throughout the week –  Green week 2012 – schedule.

Be sure to drop in and see some short films created by students of the Fine Art Department on their interpretation of ‘Green’ showing at a skip cinema near you*, and find out what other green initiatives are being rolled out at the University.

Enjoy Green Week
