Come to one of our exhibition events where you can learn about and reflect on the social diversity of cemeteries, crematoria and remembrance sites in England and Wales!

The exhibition events come from in-depth research with local communities and service providers in four case study towns in England and Wales: Swindon, Northampton, Newport and Huddersfield. We argue that diversity-ready cemeteries and crematoria are a necessary but currently neglected aspect of an inclusive and integrated multicultural society.

At the events, you are invited to share your own experiences of cemeteries and crematoria. Moreover, we will explore how cemeteries and crematoria can better accommodate the needs of a diverse and multicultural society.

Please drop in at any time to have a cup of tea and to look at the exhibition, or come along to the following activities:

  • Introductory talk on diversity-ready cemeteries and crematoria
  • Designing your own ideal memorial, cemetery or crematorium
  • Discussion cafe with refreshments, an opportunity to discuss issues and the exhibition
