Spotlights may be getting a little monotonous now, but nonetheless, Oldham return to action after their 6-1 humbling at Mansfield last week. The likelihood of being 2-0 and 2 men down by the 38th minute is extremely low, but that doesn’t make it any more comforting.
The third ever meeting between Oldham and Macclesfield at Boundary Park takes place tomorrow. RED puts Macc as ever-so-slight favourites (37% to win relative to Oldham at 36%), and with good reason – they’ve got twice as many wins as Oldham have. The bookmakers fancy the home side much more, though (42%).
An unsatisfying 1-1 draw is the most likely scoreline, at 12.5%. A repeat of last season’s 3-1 Oldham win is at 3.5%.
