Prof Khalid Naseem,The Hull York Medical School
Prof. Naseem’s research group is focused on understanding the molecular mechanisms that regulate platelet activation in both health and disease.He obtained his PhD from the Royal Free Hospital School of Medicine in 1996 with a thesis investigated the effect of oxidised lipids on platelet function. After post
– doctoral studies in Professor Richard Bruckdorfer’s laboratory, he joined University of Brad ford as a Lecturer in Biomedical Sciences in 1999.He was appointed as a Foundation Chair in Biomedical Sciences at HYMS in 2009. Khalid currently serves a Deputy Chair of the Heart Research UK Translational research panel and on the Editorial Advisory Board for the Journal of Thrombosis and Haemostasis.
