Enterprise – our new, improved Library catalogue

Following positive feedback from Reading students and staff in usability tests, we launched ‘Enterprise’, our new, improved online catalogue on Monday 2 July. We expect it to help you find relevant items more easily – not only within Library collections but Special Collections of rare books and archives and the  Museum of English Rural Life’s collections as well.

Improved searching

  • Enterprise presents most useful matches at the top of your results list by using relevancy ranking, similar to Google
  • It is also more forgiving of misspellings, so searches are less likely to fail
  • Online resource links are more prominent, so access takes fewer clicks
