Advanced warning – Service Maintenance 01/05/12

We are updating our VMware ESXi hosts on Tuesday, part of this is an update to the tools that are installed in each virtual machine and unfortunately this will require a reboot.

As a result; all ITNG services should be considered at risk from 6pm on 01/05/12.

We will also be updating the firmware on the Student VPN.

Tonight at 6pm we will rebooting;

  • The Student Terminal Server
  • The Print Server
  • The Licence Server for Cadence,Matlab research and Solidworks

The services should only be unavailable for about 10min.

Welcome

This is the new SSE Support group Blog/News/Service updates thingy.

We will be using this site to post service announcements relating to weekly maintenance work and service problems e.t.c.

We will also probably post anything we think people may find interesting such as new services and the like.
