Promoting interaction and collaboration

You can use Blackboard Collaborate’s in-built tools to run engaging sessions and encourage student interaction. For example, you can share presentations and documents, and you can create a whiteboard for sharing ideas. It is possible to ‘promote’ participants and change their role in the session so they can share content.

Polls are a great way to get participants’ feedback or response to a specific question, and breakout groups are useful for group discussions.

Breakout Groups

Set Status and Feedback. Ask participants to give you dynamic live feedback throughout the session, picking from a set of icons (for example indicating: happy, slower, faster, agree, disagree). Useful for larger groups.
