Potting-up – one week on

Four student volunteers in the tropical glasshouse checking pots of banana, Canna, Colocasia and Xanthosoma

Four student volunteers in the tropical glasshouse.

One week after the brutal process of digging up and splitting some of our tropical plants into smaller pot sized pieces four of our eager volunteers are checking whther the plants have settled in to the fresh compost.  Several are showing signs of the shock of being moved but all appear to be establishing.  In this picture: Musa (Banana), Canna, Colocasia esculenta (Taro, Eddoe), Xanthosoma violaceum (new Cocoyam).
