Nepenthes mira – The Wonderful Pitcher plant

Here the two fringed wings can be seen. Notice how the fringe goes all the way down to the base of of the pitcher. This is unusual for N. mira which should have the fringe only on the upper half. Furthermore, with just one or two exceptions, the fringe elements (hairs) arise individually and not in pairs. This is also unusual for N. mira which usually has the elements in pairs.
