Conference season in Reading

The University of Reading has recently hosted five prestigious meteorological conferences covering a broad range of topics with participants from all over the world.

The Royal Meteorological Society (RMetS) chose Reading as the location for its annual Student Conference, giving PhD students the chance to meet and interact with their peers from around the UK. The 2nd Amateur Meteorologists conference brought together over 100 weather enthusiasts and featured sessions on weather photography and the growth of citizen science in meteorology.

The European Meteorological Society (EMS) held its 13th Annual Meeting and the 11th European Conference on Applications of Meteorology (ECAM) on the University campus, with a focus on high impact weather. Finally, the 3rd International Forum of Meteorological Societies discussed how the different societies could work together more effectively.
