Redhatch Copse – Final Bird List

In total, 20 different species were witnessed in the 7.8 acre site behind Sibly Hall. This included 14 Woodland species, as described by their breeding grounds and the BTO, as well as 6 “edge” species. The woodland species are marked in bold, the edge species are unmarked. The full species list is below.

  8. Goldfinch (Carduelis carduelis)
  9. Great Tit (Parus major)
  10. Great Spotted Woodpecker (Dendrocopos major)
  11. Green Woodpecker (Picus viridis)
  12. Jay (Garrulus glandarius)
  13. Magpie (Pica pica)
  14. Nuthatch (Sitta europaea)
  15. Robin (Erithacus rubecula)
  16. Sparrowhawk (Accipiter nisus)
  17. Song Thrush (Turdus philomelos)
  18. Stock Dove (Columba oenas)
