On Wednesday 11th December 8 students from the University of Reading were selected to sing a couple of carols at 11 Downing Street. This was to accompany the Christmas tree, which the University so kindly donated to Downing Street. We arrived, all very excited at Downing Street and took several pictures of ourselves outside both 10 and 11 Downing Street. We were then welcomed into 11 Downing Street were we prepared ourselves to sing to George Osborne (the Chancellor of the Exchequer) when he arrived. He greeted us all by shaking our hand and saying thank-you for travelling to sing to him. As a group we sang Ding Dong Merrily on High followed by O Little Town of Bethlehem in which the audience also participated in.
