Educate, Empower, Elevate – The RUSU Black Leadership Programme

To celebrate Black History month we are really pleased to be supporting RUSU with their Black Leadership Programme.

This programme is a series of leadership skills workshops and career sessions to inspire and equip our Black and Dual heritage students to become the next leaders of the future. The programme takes place over 4 weeks; with a launch event on the 25th October, followed by a mix of in-person and online sessions commencing on the 7th November 2022.

Each week consists of a 90-minute session exploring key leadership themes, facilitated by an Executive Coach, Toluwa Oyeleye.

These sessions have been designed with the support of leadership experts and coaches from the Black community, and tailored for the University of Reading’s Black and mixed heritage students, with the aim of exploring key themes such as resilience, building confidence & public speaking, navigating imposter syndrome and much more.

The main aim of these workshops is to support the participants with long-term, transformative well-being & leadership techniques and build a supportive network.

All Black and mixed heritage students, from a UK or international background, studying at the University of Reading are encouraged to take part in this programme.

It’s quick and easy to sign up or come along to the launch event, to find out more about the programme.  The launch is happening on the 25th October 2002, at 5pm in the RUSU Boardroom, 1st Floor of RUSU Building.

It’s really exciting to be part of this wonderful programme – hopefully we’ll see you there.
