Catalogue of Life website is updated

The Catalogue of Life (CoL) website has been updated using a custom Drupal design to provide a more user friendly navigation system and better compatibility with mobile devices.  This redesign by Ryanne Matthias is part of her outreach work in the i4Life project.

This work has been conducted within the i4Life project as part of the dissemination function of workpackage 3 led by Dr Yuri Roskov.  The design, which was developed by Ryanne Matthias, has been shown to the Catalogue of Life Directors and Global team for comment.

The update marks part of the move toward increasingly user friendly interfaces within CoL as well as considerable content enhancement.  Ryanne has the daunting challenge of bringing Catalogue of Life to the public in an accessible way.  The website, alongside a Facebook site and Blogger Blog are all aimed at giving an engaging view of CoL and helping people to understand its function and role.
