Digital Humanities at Reading

The grouping Digital Humanities at Reading are a group of people who are working in areas where humanities and computing meet.

People in this group have different sets of skills they need to be Digitally Ready to many others round the University.

For example many of them are using mark up languages to describe manuscripts, some of them are worrying about the database technologies they should use, or the settings for their digital cameras so they can best preserve images of artifacts.

Shirley Williams is a National Teaching Fellow and Professor of Learning Technologies at the University of Reading. She is involved in a number of research projects related to learning technologies, communities, social networks, Digital identity and knowledge transfer. She also enjoys reading and cooking.
