ALTERNATIVE CAREERS INSIDE AND OUTSIDE OF ACADEMIA:
A seminar for all postgraduates in the Departments of English Literature and Modern European Languages and European Studies, offering advice and information about alternative careers after a PhD, will be taking place tomorrow (Tuesday 19th March) in HumSS 110 at 1pm.
Mr Tom Parkinson, who is the managing director of ‘Winterwood Studios’, a tutoring agency, and Ms Rachel Stewart, who works in the University’s Research and Enterprise Office, will talk about career opportunities outside of the ‘traditional’ academic route.
With most postgraduates facing the daunting prospect of a highly competitive job market after the completion of their doctorates, this will be a very informative session. We look forward to seeing you there!
