We are delighted to announce the launch of a new university-wide initiative to promote Interdisciplinary Research into the Humanities and Science. The Department of English Literature at Reading has taken a lead in pioneering research in literature and science. This new research theme is being jointly led by John Holmes and Andrew Mangham. They will be working in collaboration with Karin Lesnik-Oberstein, Stephen Thomson, Debbie Bark and a number of our PhD students, as well as colleagues from several other departments including History, Biology, Archaeology, Cybernetics, Agriculture and Modern Languages, and the University’s Museums and special collections.
