Aldi is generally cheaper than other supermarkets, however it may not always have the same variety of food. Aldi is a great place to get basic ingredients such as pasta and rice. Click here for more information.
Tesco has large stores in Reading, which are a little further away. These sell clothes, homeware, cards, gifts and usually have a café and a pharmacy and even sometimes an opticians and a phone shop. Click here for more information. There are also multiple smaller Tesco Express branches which are closer to campus. These smaller stores usually close at around 11pm.

Marks and Spencer (M&S) has several ‘Simply Food’ stores in Reading and a large store in the town centre which sells clothing. M&S is known for being more expensive, but some would argue sells higher quality food. Click here for more information.
