Ben Pedley Award

The Ben Pedley Award for outstanding contribution to the musical community of the University is presented annually in memory of student Ben Pedley, who sadly died in 2017.

This award is open to all students in their second year of undergraduate study at the University who regularly take part in musical activity. This could include membership of ensembles and music societies within the University or in the wider local community. We seek nominees who are a positive ambassador for music.

Nominations are invited from any member of the University and local community, including staff, students and local community members.

The winner of this prestigious award will receive a monetary prize of £150, in addition to a certificate and Music at Reading award badge, and will be presented with their award at the Spring concert each year.

Nominations have closed, and will reopen in the Autumn term for next year’s award.
