UoR LIVE is a vibrant, live gig scene where student bands form the line up at gigs around the University and in venues across Reading.
Monday evenings are LIVE @ The Dairy, located on the London Road Campus, and comes with a range of different styles and events throughout term time, including our monthly Jam Factory.
We also host gigs up on the Whiteknights Campus, with our bands featuring regularly at Mojo’s Bar for LIVE nights and our annual festival, SocFest.
In our live music programme, we are collaborating closely with music-based student societies – Reading University Music Society (RUMS), Band Society, Rock Society, Singer-Songwriter Society, K-Pop and the Folk Society – who are keen to get their musicians/bands opportunities to play to audiences. As such, the student committee members of the societies have been working closely alongside UoR Music artistic director, Victoria Ely, to deliver a huge What’s On programme.
What is a Jam Factory Gig? Come down and play, sing or just soak up the atmosphere – everyone is welcome. Held at the Dairy on London Road Campus on the first Monday of the month.
Please note, all performers in the UoR LIVE programme must be a member of one of the following:
Reading Uni Singer-Songwriter (RUSS)
