The original index card for a mouldboard from Stadhampton, Oxfordshire

As the index card indicates, the rural writer H. J. Massingham acquired this artefact for his collection from a farmer who had purchased it at a sale in Stadhampton, Oxfordshire. The grandfather of the Assistant Curator of MERL, Ollie Douglas, was a dairy farmer in Stadhampton (MERL 51/159 Catalogue Card).
