On a glorious sunny day I gathered all of my staff in the University of Reading for a day of talks……Mike talked Archaeology, I talked Archaeologists. We looked back and we looked ahead. I think it was a good day – no-one walked out. It was also Dan’s birthday and we managed to embarrass him with a cake and a rousing rendition of something which did not at all resemble ‘Happy Birthday’.

Oh – and Nick gave a talk too! All about his work for the project over the last 6 months….He was overcome by the occasion.
