Hello to students new and old! Here is an update on what is changing with Student Services this year:

Student support arrangements

The University announced plans last year to open three main support centres in the HUMSS, JJ Thompson and Agriculture Buildings, and two ‘satellite’ centres at Foxhill House and London Road.

The two smaller centres will be open from September 2016 – providing support to Education, Architecture and Law students.

However, the three main centres will not be in operation until the start of the 2017-18 academic year. So for the majority of students, there will be no changes this year – your school office will continue to support you as it has always done.

If you would like the full details about where your academic school’s support staff will be based here on the University website.

Me@Reading Student portal

This is the new portal we are launching this term, designed to link together RISIS, Blackboard, your inbox, academic timetable, tailored content and more into a one-stop website for all aspects of student life.

No more navigating around a web of different tabs and websites: you can reach everything you need through one site.

No more missing out on interesting events and opportunities: the portal will provide content specific to you, depending on your academic school and degree stage – whether it is a RUSU event this weekend, a society fundraiser, a module registration deadline, Me@Reading Student will help keep you in the loop.

You will be able to log in from 19th September at this website:  http://student.reading.ac.uk
