Staff development & resources to help you prepare your Blackboard module(s) & online teaching

The TEL Online Toolkit: Designing your Blackboard module provides guidance on planning your module including the Threshold Standards – a clear set of practical guidelines that describe how to structure online learning materials and activities in Blackboard modules.

Resources to help students get started with Blackboard

Also detailed on the Prepare your Blackboard module for the new year CHECKLIST are resources you can use with your students to prepare them to use Blackboard and orientate themselves with the teaching tools and technologies they’ll be using this term.

Share the new 5 minute Introduction to Blackboard video with your students.

As part of their Welcome programme, a short online session is available for students to attend, during which they can find out about Blackboard and key digital tools.

What’s new on Blackboard for 2021/22

A reminder that Blackboard looks a little different when you log in and you’ll need to navigate it in a slightly different way before getting to your modules. If you haven’t already, check out this introductory guide and 2 minute video.

Wishing you a great start to the new term and a successful year ahead – we look forward to working with you.

Very best wishes,

CQSD TEL
