There are some simple and effective ways to check that the content you add to your Blackboard Course is accessible and helps to provide an inclusive learning experience for your students.
Do you know how accessible your Course is?
Blackboard’s integrated Ally tool helps you improve the accessibility of individual pieces of content you upload. It gives your students a choice of formats with which to engage that best suit their needs and preferences. The data shows that students are making extensive use of these alternative formats with thousands of downloads. Many more than those with a registered disability make use of the opportunity to engage with content in different formats to help them learn and work flexibly.
Why not use the Course Accessibility Report?
Did you know that in each Blackboard Course and Organisation, there is a Course Accessibility Report which shows you a summary of the accessibility of all content and helps you prioritise how best to work through resolving any issues? It can help save you time too.
