Coffea arabica – Coffee

Our coffee plant is one of the few individuals we did not uproot and move during the greenhouse renovation.  The plant happened to be in just the right place.

Coffee is produced from two species, Coffea arabica and Coffea canephora, the former native to Yemen, Ethiopia and Sudan, and the latter to sub-saharan Africa.  Our plant appears to be C. arabica.
