Professor Janet Barlow presented ‘Hot in the city’ Public Lecture Series Nov 14 2012 8pm Palmer Building

Professor Janet Barlow, Department of Meterology, and Director of the Centre for Technologies for Sustainable Built Environments,  was be the second speaker of the Public Lecture Series 2012-13, the lecture was scheduled to co-incide with the University’s Green Week. Entitled ‘Hot in the city, urban heat islands explained’  Janet explored the meteorological processes controlling our city temperatures.
