It’s Welcome Week, and we’re pleased to welcome everyone on to campus for the first time, as well as those returning.
If you’re a new student, there’s lots to get started with this week, with plenty of Welcome Week activities as well as the Fresher’s Fayre. Below are the key points to help you get organised for the beginning of term.
You should have received/collected your Campus Card when you arrived, as part of the enrolment process. If you have yet to collect your card or if you have lost it, you can collect it from the Helpdesk in the Student Services Centre (Carrington Building).
Username and password
Hopefully you’ve already picked up your University username and password. If not, here’s what you need to do:
- Make sure you’ve got your Campus Card
- Log in to the RISISweb Portal
- Click the red link that says ‘Collect your Username’
- Follow the instructions and set your password
- If you can’t see that link in the RISISweb Portal you can click here to collect it.
If you’ve lost or forgotten your username and password use the online reminder form or visit the IT information desk on the first floor of the Library.
From 13:00 – 16:00 on Tuesday 22 September you will be able to meet academic staff in the Dome and discuss your course and module options. If your course allows you to take modules outside of your Department this will be your chance to find out about what’s on offer.
Undergraduates are encouraged to select their modules by 16:00 on Wednesday 23 September.
Postgraduates online module selection will close at noon on Friday 2 October for all Schools excluding Henley Business School.
You can access your academic timetable at www.reading.ac.uk/mytimetable. If you have completed all the steps above you can use your University username and password to access the full details. If you don’t have those details you can use your Reading Student number and date of birth. If you have not completed module selection you will only see the sessions for your compulsory modules listed.
