We’re pleased to announce the recent reopening of two study spaces on campus: The Study and Agriculture GL20. We hope these will be particularly useful for postgraduate students and those preparing for retakes/resits.

To make sure our study spaces are safe, we have:

• Cleaned all areas thoroughly
• Made wipes available for keyboards, mice, desks and the printer touch screen (in Agriculture GL20)
• Reduced capacity
• Made clear exit and entry points

When using these spaces, please adhere to the regulations in place to protect your health and safety as per the signs in each area. In line with government advice, we strongly encourage you to wear a face-covering where it is not possible to be more than 2 metres away from others. We trust that all students will behave responsibly and be mindful of others.

The Study will be open Monday to Friday 09:00 – 17:00 with last entry at 16:00. Agriculture GL20 will be accessible 24/7. For both areas, you will need to swipe your Campus Card to enter.

We’ve also recently reopened a number of our study spaces in Halls. If you’re living in Halls and would like more information please speak to your Reception.

Library Click & Collect service

Library members are now able to borrow some print books via a new ‘click and collect’ style service.

We’ve rearranged things so you’ll be able to place holds via Enterprise (the Library catalogue) on items that are ‘on the shelf’, just like you do with items on loan. We’ll fetch requested books from the shelves each day and you’ll get an email from us when your items are ready for you to collect.

The Library will be open for collections only 11:00 – 14:00 Monday to Friday. We’ll keep your items available for up to five days as usual.

We’ve worked hard to put procedures in place that will keep you and our staff safe whilst participating with this service. When you arrive at the Library you’ll find a queuing system in place providing a one-way contactless route in and out of the building, and signs showing you where to stand to maintain your social distance from others. You’ll be able to engage with staff at a collection point in the foyer, one at a time.
