Chaplaincy and Faith and Wellbeing Support

We are delighted to announce that the Chaplaincy Centre is now open (9am-5:30pm Monday to Thursdays).

The Chaplaincy drop-in centre is located just behind the library opposite the JJ Thomson Building. We are open to all students, staff, and members of the University community – of all faiths or none.

We have a kitchen well stocked with tea and coffee, rooms for quiet reflection, study, chat or prayer, a theological library, a garden with benches, and a team of chaplains from Christian and Muslim traditions who are available to lend an ear, offer support or advice as needed.

We also run a variety of activities including:

  • Homemade lunchtime soup
  • Midday and evening prayer
  • Coffee mornings in our garden and online
  • Bible study
  • Theology seminars and lectures

The Chaplaincy has a full Covid safe routine – including track and trace, hand sanitiser, a one–way system, masks, and limits on numbers in rooms. All this is provided with an open welcome and a smile.
