Cycling at the University of Reading

We have a range of activities this week so make the most of the last month before clocks go back and cycle to work this Wednesday and join the On Your Bike day!

In Palmer Quad from 12:00-14:00 we have the return of Dr Bike along with the Reading Bicycle Kitchen who are a volunteer organisation who make low-cost bicycle maintenance available to all and teach you how to fix your own bike.

They also refurbish second hand bikes for sale and charity – so donations of old bikes are welcome!

Minor repairs are often fixed on the spot and recommendations given for essential maintenance work.

Campus Security will be offering anti-theft tagging for bikes and selling discounted D-locks – essential to secure your bike (most cable locks can be cut through in seconds)

The University low cost hire bike scheme is now up and running with sturdy Raleigh commuter bikes available in various sizes and come with lock/ lights and insurance.

Find out more about Unicycle Hire scheme | RUSU or come along to Palmer quad and try one out

CYCLE TRAINING from beginner to road commuter also available on Wednesday 12:00 – 18:00 and other days by appointment.
