Armistice Day Services

The University of Reading would like to invite you to mark Armistice Day at a brief service of memorial, where we will remember those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for their country as well as students and staff who have passed away over the last year.

The University will be hosting short services at each of our UK campuses on Thursday 11 November for those who wish to gather together to mark the occasion.  These will be hosted by the University Chaplains and will be open to staff and students of all faiths and none.

The University invites you to gather at the most convenient location for you at 10:45 on Thursday 11 November. Ceremonies will be held as follows:

  • London Road campus: Peace Garden
  • Greenlands campus: Flagpole near the cattle grid
  • Whiteknights campus: Rear flagpole (between the Library and Whiteknights House)

You can find this event and more on the Student Events pages.
