Calling all students who care about social mobility – 93% Club

Society Information Talk:  The 93% Club
Friday 26 November – 12:30 to 13:30Are you #stateschoolproud? – join the cause for social mobility

Did you know that 50% of Cabinet members and 74% of judges attended private schools? Did you know that only 16% of people in the creative industries are from working class backgrounds?

The 93% Club is a student lead national society that aims to redress this gap by campaigning for equity and social mobility. Through their network of 10,000 students across 45 universities, all 93% Club members have exclusive opportunities to participate in workshops, seminars, social events, and activities that are geared towards equipping students with the necessary skills to become serious competitors in the job market.

The Careers team and RUSU are keen to meet students who could be interested in setting up The 93% Club here at the University of Reading and this event will be an opportunity for you to learn more about the 93% Club, their campaigns and how you could get involved.

If you would like to come along please get in touch with Careers by emailing Laia at l.augepoch@reading.ac.uk or by completing the 93% Club form to receive a confirmation of the location.

Spread the word and see you then!
