Reading Borough Council’s Safer Streets Drop-In Sessions

The Oracle Riverside at night

You are invited to attend Reading Borough Council’s Safer Streets Drop-in sessions on Monday 14 November. These sessions will be taking place 12-2pm and 6-8:30pm at the Civic Offices, Bridge Street, Reading RG1 2LU. At the sessions there will be free bike marking, safety goodies and safety advice. All are welcome to attend.

These sessions are taking place as part of the Reading Borough Council and its partners Safer Streets project. This project aims to reduce crime, improve safety in Reading town centre and make areas of the town more welcoming. This project will also involve the creation of a new Safer Students Partnership. This Partnership will bring together the Council, the University, Students’ Union (RUSU) and Reading College to address key safety issues for students (16-25 years old).

Check out Reading’s Safer Streets Partnership webpage for more information about the councils plans to improve safety in Reading and complete their short online survey to share your views on how Reading town centre can be made more welcoming.

As well as feeling safe at Reading town centre at night, it’s also important you feel safe on campus. We have put together some tips on staying safe on campus this winter.
