The increasing cost of living is a cause of concern for everyone, especially students who are away from home and managing their finances for the first time. The University of Reading invites you to our all-day event in 3Sixty on 30 November, between 12:00- 17:00, to find out what support and advice is available to our students.

12:00 – 13:00 – Cost of Living Panel
Join us for a panel event hosted by Professor Elizabeth McCrum (Pro-Vice Chancellor (Education & Student Experience)) with guests including Student Financial Services, RUSU Money Advice, and RUSU President Sheldon Allen, and discover the support that is available for you at the University of Reading
13:00 -14:00 – Meet Your Money Support Services with Lunch
This will be an opportunity to talk to the University of Reading services about all things relating to the cost-of-living support and advice. A free lunch will also be provided.
14:00 – 15:00 – Money Worries Workshop
Join our workshop to learn practical skills on how to deal with money worries and manage your finances, reduce stress, and be able to study to the best of your ability.
This workshop is run by RUSU Advice and Citizens Advice Reading.
15:00 – 16:00 – How to find a part-time job
Discover what opportunities there are to earn extra money through part-time work. Campus Jobs will give you all the tools you need to go out and find part time jobs and just as importantly, how to win employers over with a great application.
16:00 – 17:00 – Stressed? Learn ways to maintain your health
Life at university can be very busy and at times it may become stressful. Managing symptoms at an early stage is key to prevent them from having a negative impact on your health, wellbeing, and ability to study. In this session, you will find out strategies to help reduce the impact of stress and maintain your health to study productively.
