Summary
Looking for things to do in Reading during the spring vacation? Student Local Guide Daria shares the best cultural, social, and creative activities in town—from drumming workshops and open mic nights to language exchanges and hiking groups. Whether you want to meet new people, learn a new skill, or just explore, there’s something for everyone.
Hi, I’m Daria, I’m one of the Student Local Guides at the University of Reading. One of the most common questions I hear on campus is ‘How do you find Reading?’. It often sparks lively conversations about favourite spots and hidden gems. But when I first arrived, I’ll admit I felt a bit underwhelmed — maybe because I hadn’t yet explored all the exciting cultural and social opportunities here. If you’re feeling the same, don’t worry! The spring vacation is the perfect time to dive into some of the best experiences Reading has to offer.
