The powdery mildew survey has appeared in the July 2016 edition of ‘The Rock Garden‘, a journal disseminated by the Scottish Rock Garden Club.
The Club take interest in promoting the cultivation of alpine and rock garden plants. Though the structures of such plants are intrinsically hardy they are still susceptible to diseases like powdery mildew. And the recently reported Podosphaera macrospora found on Heuchera, a member of the Saxifragaceae, is one such fungal disease.
